Day three of our cruise on the Danube
An early morning coach tour of Vienna - not the best of
weather.
Thermal powerplant artwork by Austrian designer Friedensreich
Hundertwasser.
It was all too much for Kay - who promptly fell asleep!
Views from the coach.
There was a ceremony going on for newly elected President.......
.... in the drizzling rain.
Hofburg Palace statue.
Statue of Hercules - beating someone up.
Your carriage awaits...
Hercules - at it again.
Monument to the Black Plague.
St.
Stephens Cathedral, Austria.
Inside the Cathedral.
Reflections of Vienna.
There's a caption here somewhere.
Back at the riverside moorings - with three identical ships.
Same ships, rival companies.
The weather cleared up for our afternoon visit the the magnificent
Schönbrunn Palace.
I think these are rows of sentry boxes (?).
The palace was getting ready for a concert.
Nothing better than a well-trimmed bush.
The rear of the palace.
Where do I start?
A feathered visitor.
A duck stepping out - good job it wasn't a goose!
Arty camera work.
Driving back to the ship - over the 'Lion Bridge'
Setting sail.
That Vienna skyline.
Farewell to Vienna.
