Watching me, watching you........

Nesting sites for House Martins on the riverbank.

Early morning fishers........

Marek tuning up for the 'Früshoppen' event - a sort of Bavarian Brunch.

The crew ready to serve up.

Approaching the Iron Gates II Hydro-Electic Dam.

Another boatload of white slavers heading south.

On the sundeck digesting the wurst.

Scenes from the Riverbank.

Control tower.

Another load of white slaves on their way south.

Yet another lot.

We had put our names down for a visit to the wheelhouse - this screen shows a visual representation of our course.

Looking for'ard (I'm easy with these nautical terms by now!)

Very hi-tech.

Our position on radar.

Note the bad weather equipment on the right.

The wheelhouse from the outside - normally off limits. The whole thing retracts to go under low bridges.

Old fortifications on an island.

Old ruin at Drobeta Turnu Severin.

Romanian river patrol vessels.

Freight train.

Romanian river cruise 'Mehedinti'.

I'm not sure what this is..........

.... but it has a rival upstream.

Approaching the narrow part of the Iron Gates Gorge - but this time in colour!

King Decebal

Mraconia Monastery

Bye.........

Navigation Station.

Looking for'ard as the light fades.

Almost sunset.....
