Domodedovo

On the storage ramp at Domo......

....work carries on amongst the semi-derelict airliners......

...but it's right next to the landing runway. This is a Yak-42D of Volga Avia Express.

Three Tu-154Ms put out to grass.

I dislike this S7 finish.

This is more like it - a Tu-134 of ......

..... Kolavia.

Boeing 747 of Transaero.

All the big stuff seemed to be using this runway for takeoff - this 777 of Singapore Airlines taxied past....

..... and took off.

Boeing 737 of Kyrgyzstan Airlines.

This Transaero 747 taxied past.....

.....I don't know if there was a problem - but he spent so long at the hold point.......

..... that he caused this Yamal Airlines Boeing 737-500 to perform a 'missed approach'.....

.... the 747 had to taxy back to the ramp - while his colleague taxied out.

We moved to the other runway to watch the takeoffs - this Ukrainian Embraer ERJ 190-2LR taxied past.

It isn't an attractive scheme......

Azerbaijan 757.........

....followed by a Dniproavia 737.

Dniproavia Embraer ERJ 145EU.

ERJ 190 climbs out....

.... followed by the 737.......

..... and an Uzbekistan Airlines Airbus A310.

Vim Airlines 757.

Belavia B737 from Belarus.

B737-800 of Russian airline Nordstar.

'Sasha' - our security 'minder'.

Natasha and Sasha taking a break.

Over to the the 'graveyard'

Classic example of an Il-62 that will never fly again.

VIP-configured Libyan Government Il-62 looking rather forlorn.

Another Il-62.

Tu-154M of Moscovia.

Somonair B737 on the ramp.

Tu-154M of Alrosa.

Back again to the landing runway - to see this Region Avia Embraer 120.

MChS Yak-42 being moved.

I still don't like this colour scheme......

.... even on a 737.

Much nicer!

Vim Airlines B757 - is that a rip-off of the Virgin colour scheme or what ??

ERJ-195LR of Montenegro Airlines.

A 'proper' airliner - Turan Air Tu-154M.

ATU Tu-204-100 with PS-90 engines.

Back to the western stuff.

The old gives way to the new......
